STI test at OneDayClinic

When you experience certain complaints (STI symptoms) it is wise to do an STI test. STIs (sexually transmitted infections) are infectious diseases that are mainly transmitted through unprotected sexual contact. There are different types of venereal diseases, the symptoms of which vary. You can also have an STI without noticing anything. Nevertheless, it can have serious consequences if it is not treated in time. That is why you should take an STI test, which will give you a definite answer even if you don't experience any symptoms. Are you worried or have you had unsafe sex? Then also fill in our test guide in. At OneDayClinic you can go for a professional and completely anonymous examination, or an STI test. Physical examination is often not necessary, so don't let this be the reason to postpone an STI test. Do you have questions about the STI test or about various STIs, such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea or herpes? Contact us and ask your question! Also read our frequently asked questions. Not sure? Take a look at the STI checklist.

Should I be tested for an STI?

When do you have to get tested for an STI? An STI test is the only way to be sure whether or not you have an STI. You can have an STI without being bothered by anything, but then you are contagious to others. There can also be major consequences if you have an STI for too long without treating it. That is why it is wise to have an STI test done when:

  • You have had unsafe sex (sex without a condom);
  • You have symptoms such as warts, blisters, burning puddles or more discharge than usual;
  •  The condom's torn;
  • You have a new relationship and want to make love without a condom;
  • You were warned;
  • Your pregnant and don't want to transmit an STI to your child.

So, even when in doubt, have yourself tested for an STI at OneDayClinic in good time. Better safe than sorry!
