What types of blood tests can you have done?
Er zijn heel veel verschillende soorten bloedonderzoeken. De oudste methode is een BSE bloedonderzoek. Dit wordt ook wel bezinking genoemd. Dit is een klassieke methode om ontstekingen via het bloed te traceren, door naar de snelheid te kijken dat de rode bloedcellen naar de bodem zakken. Wanneer je een ontsteking hebt, dan zal dit veel sneller gaan. Deze klassieke methode is verbeterd met de CRP bloedtest. Hierbij wordt gekeken op infecties op basis van eiwitten. De CRP bloedtest kan ook gebruikt worden om verbeteringen of verslechteringen van ontstekingen en infecties te constateren.
