Should I take an STI test?
Have you had unsafe sex? Then it's wise to get an STI test. Complaints or not, it is advisable to get tested just to be sure. At OneDayClinic Utrecht you can do a test anonymously and you will be helped quickly. The results also follow quickly, so this reduces the risk of infection in others. In various situations we recommend that you take an STI test. Think for example of unsafe sex, complaints like blisters, warts or abnormal discharge. How does an STI test work at our clinic?
Often you can visit our clinic within one day if you have made an appointment. The appointment always starts with a conversation with the doctor. In this conversation we will determine which STI test suits your situation. This depends on various factors, such as the number of bed partners, the symptoms and with whom (husband, wife or both).
Via een urinetest worden bij mannen de soa’s chlamydia, gonorroe, trichomonas en mycoplasma vastgesteld. Bij vrouwen wordt een swab afgenomen. Of de vrouw dit zelf doet of liever aan de arts overlaat is beide mogelijk. De urine en de swab worden in een gecertificeerd lab onderzocht op de aanwezigheid van Chlamydia en Gonorroe. De uitslag hiervan is meestal binnen 1 werkdag bekend.

I have an STI, now what?
The result of the STI test will tell you whether or not you need treatment. Luckily at OneDayClinic Utrecht you will have a result within 2 days, depending on the STI test you need.
If the results are positive, you have an STI. In one of our clinics, including OneDayClinic Utrecht, you can go for anonymous treatment. If you have been tested somewhere else, but would like to be treated by us, please bring the test result with you. Our pricelist gives an overview of the costs per treatment.
