How do at-home STD tests work?
You can easily order an STD test for home use online. Before ordering an STD test online, take the test guide so that you know which type of test to order. Each STD has its own test. After purchasing an STD test, delivery of the STD tests is discreet and anonymous, so nothing can be seen on the outside of the envelope. Depending on the type of STD test, you take a self-swab or collect some urine and send it directly to the laboratory in the envelope provided. This is an ISO-certified laboratory, so the results are reliable. You can usually view the results online within 2 to 3 business days.
What if a home test for STDs is positive?
It may come as a shock if a home STD test turns out to be positive. This means that you are infected with an STD. Once you have gotten over the initial shock, you need to take action and seek treatment. The good news is that most STDs are relatively easy to treat with medication.
