Anonymous testing for STDs at OneDayClinic

At OneDayClinic, we offer the opportunity to get anonymously tested for STDs*. We believe it is important for everyone to be able to get tested and treated, contributing to both your own health and the health of others. But how do we ensure our clients' anonymity? We're happy to explain it to you!

Anonymous & the patient record

During the consultation we will create a patient record, for which we need a name and date of birth. This information is used so we can link your results and keep brief notes of the consultation. You may choose your own name and date of birth; we do not check your ID. Please do remember this information in case you come back in the future or want to request your results. It is important to know that the name and date of birth known to us (that you have chosen yourself) cannot be changed afterwards on the results form. In addition, on the results form, the abbreviation "ODC" will appear before the given name. We do this because we test anonymously and do not apply identity verification. If you prefer not to be tested anonymously, for example because you need an HIV test result for a visa application, you should indicate this in advance. In that case, we will check your ID and use the data as stated on the ID card.

Broepsheim

All employees within OneDayClinic have professional confidentiality, as stipulated in the Big Law. Thus, we will never share information with others without your permission, as this is punishable by law. Therefore, we also do not share your information with other doctors, such as your primary care physician.

To further ensure your anonymity, we offer the option of paying in cash (preferably exact change). You can also pay by debit card. When using your debit card, the name of our clinic will not appear on the statement.

• You have a choice at Onedayclinic between a rapid test, where you receive the results after only 90 minutes, or the regular test, where the results are available within 1-3 business days.
• Treatment can also be done anonymously.

*In case you test positive for Hepatitis B, we do need your real data. This is because Hepatitis B is a notifiable disease under the Public Health Act (see: https://www.rivm.nl/meldingsplicht-infectieziekten ).
