The most common Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) is chlamydia. You contract chlamydia while having unprotected sex. This can be vaginal sex, oral sex or anal sex. It is possible to walk around with chlamydia without knowing it. In fact, many people who contract chlamydia do not notice it at all. So you may think you don't have an STD, but meanwhile you are a danger to others with whom you have unprotected sex. Therefore, take responsibility and make sure that if you have sex without a condom, you also have a chlamydia test done.

What are the chlamydia symptoms?
By no means everyone infected with chlamydia will develop symptoms. Chlamydia symptoms, incidentally, are more common in infected men than in women. Men may experience pain or a burning sensation and discharge when urinating. If chlamydia takes off, it can cause inflammation of the epididymis or prostate. If left untreated, the bacteria can eventually lead to infertility. Women may also experience trouble when urinating, releasing discharge or you may experience blood loss. Also in women, chlamydia can ascend and enter the lower abdomen. This can cause peritonitis and eventually infertility.
