How do you get an STI, and can I get an STI by banging? Unprotected sex can lead to STIs in the erogenous zones, but you can also catch STIs orally. Often no condoms or beflaps are used during oral sex, but oral sex can also cause you to get an STI. You can catch Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Herpes, Syphilis and Hepatitis B from banging without protection. The chance of contracting an STD is much smaller than when you have normal sex, but the chance is present. 

Herpes in throat

You can get herpes when you hurt someone, but you can also get herpes when you are hurt by someone who has a cold sore at that moment. Herpes in the throat can also occur, the virus nestles in the mucous membranes in the throat.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea in throat

Chlamydia is een stuk minder makkelijk over te dragen door beffen dan Gonorroe. Gonorroe is erg besmettelijk en kan zich ook door het beffen makkelijk in de keel nestelen. Als je Chlamydia of Gonorroe in je keel hebt, geeft dit klachten van pijn in de keel en opgezwollen klieren in de hals. Dit hoeft echter lang niet altijd en het kan ook helemaal geen klachten geven. Wanneer de Chlamydia of Gonorroe in je keel zit, kun je ook weer andere mensen besmetten met deze SOA.

Syphilis

Syfilis kan je al oplopen van het zoenen met iemand met een zweertje in zijn of haar mond. Een soa kun je dus krijgen door zoenen. Zo kan je dus ook Syfilis krijgen als je door iemand gebeft wordt die een syfilis zweertje in zijn of haar mond heeft.

HIV

You don't actually get HIV by beating, because your saliva has a bactericidal effect and so you have enough natural protection. The only advice is not to hurt someone when they are menstruating or to make sure that no menstrual blood gets into your mouth.

Doing the test

If you have bitten someone or have been bitten yourself and you doubt whether you have contracted an STD, it is always wise to do an STD test.
